Why it works on Roku

  • ✓ Works on Roku Express, Streaming Stick, Ultra and Roku TVs
  • ✓ Two reliable methods: IPTV channels or screen mirroring
  • ✓ M3U playlist URL is all you need
  • ✓ Mirror from Android, Windows, or iPhone
  • ✓ No jailbreak required
  • ✓ 24-hour free test on request

Setup steps

  1. 1
    Pick your method

Either install a supported IPTV channel from the Roku Channel Store, or use screen mirroring from your phone or PC.

  2. 2
    Channel method

Search the Roku Channel Store for an IPTV player that accepts M3U URLs (e.g. M3U IPTV Player or similar). Install it and add the TrexTV M3U URL we email you.

  3. 3
    Mirror method (Android)

On Roku, enable Screen Mirroring (Settings → System → Screen mirroring). On Android, swipe down and tap Cast, choose your Roku, then play TrexTV in IPTV Smarters Pro.

  4. 4
    Mirror method (Windows)

On Windows 10/11, press Win+K, pick your Roku from the list, and play TrexTV in any desktop IPTV player or VLC.

  5. 5
    Mirror method (iPhone / Mac)

AirPlay-compatible Roku devices accept AirPlay from iPhone or Mac. Open the IPTV app on iOS and AirPlay it to the Roku.

Why Roku takes a bit more setup

Unlike Firestick and Android, Roku does not officially allow sideloading APKs. That means popular IPTV apps like Smarters Pro and TiviMate are not directly installable. The fix is one of the two methods above: a supported channel that accepts M3U links, or screen mirroring from a device that does run those apps.

Which method is best?

If you only want to watch live TV occasionally, an M3U channel app on Roku is the simplest. If you watch a lot of sports and want EPG, channel search, and recording, mirroring from a Firestick or Android phone running IPTV Smarters Pro is the smoother experience.

Honest recommendation

If you primarily watch IPTV and you have the choice, a Firestick or Android TV box is a much better IPTV device than Roku. They both run IPTV Smarters Pro and TiviMate natively, with no mirroring or workaround needed.

FAQ

Roku IPTV — FAQ

Is there a native IPTV Smarters Pro app for Roku?

No — Roku does not allow sideloading, so IPTV Smarters Pro is not available natively. Use a supported M3U channel app from the Roku Channel Store, or mirror from a phone/PC that runs Smarters Pro.

Does screen mirroring lose quality?

Slightly, depending on your Wi-Fi. On a strong 5 GHz network, the quality difference is small. For 4K streams, a Firestick 4K Max or an Android TV box is a better choice than Roku mirroring.

Will TrexTV work on a Roku-powered TV?

Yes — Roku TVs (TCL, Hisense, etc.) work the same way as standalone Roku boxes: channel app or mirroring.

Do I need special hardware to use TrexTV?

No. If you already own a Firestick, Smart TV, Android box, Apple TV, Roku, or a computer, you can install a supported IPTV player and start watching.

Which IPTV player do you recommend?

IPTV Smarters Pro and TiviMate are the most popular options. They work on most platforms, look great, and support both M3U and Xtream Codes login.

Can I use TrexTV on multiple devices?

Each subscription includes one connection by default. You can be logged in on several devices but only stream from one at a time. Extra connections can be added on request.
